The Girasoles Foundation has been created to improve the quality of life of poor, abused, battered and abandoned childrenin the Dominican Republic by working in coordination with established institutions with minimal resources who have dedicated such resources to provide a safe environment, education and health care to these children so that they may have the opportunity of becoming dignified and honest future adults caring for other human beings, the environment and animals.

The foundation also assists elderly persons who are in a precarious situation and are from poor originis with no family or family that cannot take care of them. We work in close coordination with a established institution in the same condition as above, in an effort to provide the elderly a modicum of comfort and well being in their old age.

With this in mind, our commitment is that 90% of the resources raised are completely dedicated to the projects of the foundation. Overhead is non-existent and all persons involved in the day-to-day operation of the foundation, gladly volunteer their time.

The Girasoles Foundation is a 501(c)(3) approved charity organization. Donations are tax deductible.
